The contemporary service at Faith is God-directed and God-centered
worship. The music is led by a team of musicians, with keyboard, drums, guitar, and the Faith Singers.
Biblical preaching seeks to challenge, uplift, and encourage you in your walk with God though relevant application
of God’s Word to your life.
The
basic elements of historic worship are present in this service, for example, confession of sins, prayers, Bible readings,
and the Creed. But the order of service varies.
The Lord's Supper is offered every Sunday. We believe that the body and blood of our Lord Jesus are
truly present in and with the bread and wine of the Lord's Supper; our Communion table is open to baptized Christians who
wish to receive the grace that God provides through the real presence of our Lord in this sacrament.
The style of music ranges from “light rock,”
to Celtic, to many of the “praise and worship” songs that people hear on Christian radio. All
of the congregational singing is led by the Faith Singers, and most worshipers find that they are able to pick up the songs
quickly.
Our worship follows the seasons of the church year: Advent,
Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost. Scripture readings, songs, prayers, and the sermon reflect
the season.
People of all ages enjoy this service; roughly a third
of the worshipers are under age 20. Most people dress casually, though attendees also feel welcome and
comfortable dressed in a coat and tie.
If you choose to attend the Faith contemporary service, the
service is held each Sunday at 8:15 a.m. during the school year
and at 9:00 a.m. - outdoors - from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.
